Stolen Picture, the production company set up by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, is involved in a new six-part comedy that's been picked up by BBC Two.

Out Of Her Mind is written by and stars award-winning comedian Sara Pascoe, with the cast also featuring Juliet Stevenson (Riviera, One of Us, Truly Madly Deeply), Fiona Button (The Split), Cariad Lloyd (Crims, Peep Show) and Adrian Edmondson (Summer Of Rockets, The Young Ones).

The series aims to "subvert the traditional sitcom format by combining eccentric characters, animation, and scientific explanation".

Pascoe said: "Out Of Her Mind is a direct expression of my mind. We've turned my brain into a theme-park, and everyone's invited! The cast are INCREDIBLE and I can't wait for people to see what we've made."

Out Of Her Mind (6x30’) is a Stolen Picture and Mouse The Dog co-production for BBC Two. It has been commissioned by Patrick Holland, Controller of BBC Two, and Shane Allen, Controller Comedy Commissioning for the BBC and will be Executive Produced by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Miles Ketley for Stolen Picture and Sara Pascoe.

Catherine Gosling Fuller will produce, the Blaine Brothers are directing and the BBC Commissioning Editor is Kate Daughton.

The series will be distributed by Sony Pictures Television and transmission details for BBC Two will be confirmed in due course.
