Love Island is to return tonight with a special tribute to former host Caroline Flack, who was found dead in her north London home on Saturday.

Saturday and Sunday's episodes of the reality TV show were cancelled following the shock news that 40-year-old Flack had taken her own life.

She had fronted Love Island but stepped down last year ater being charged with assaulting her boyfriend. The trial had been due to begin on March 4th.

ITV said it had chosen not to air Sunday's show "out of respect for Caroline's family" - but that it would be returning tonight at 9pm on ITV2.

It said: "Many people at ITV knew Caroline well and held her in great affection. All of us are absolutely devastated at this tragic news.

"After careful consultation between Caroline’s representatives and the Love Island production team and given how close we still are to the news of Caroline’s tragic death we have decided not to broadcast tonight’s Love Island out of respect for Caroline’s family.

"Love Island will return tomorrow night which will include a tribute to Caroline who will be forever in our hearts."
