Canada’s OSF Commerce acquires UK agency, Blueleaf

Canadian e-commerce company OSF Commerce has acquired award-winning UK e-commerce agency Blueleaf.

Blueleaf’s clients include Laura Ashley, Life Style Sports, Tate Modern and V&A Museum, and the deal is part of OSF’s strategy to build a significant presence in the UK.

OSF Commerce is a division of OSF Global Services, a Canadian IT services management company.

Founded in 1999, with offices in the UK and Bulgaria, Blueleaf provides top retailers and brands with planning, UX, development and support for complex projects built on Salesforce Commerce Cloud, one of the world’s leading eCommerce solutions. 

Since 2014, Blueleaf has been working with growth and M&A advisory firm, Waypoint Partners, which has advised the company on how to scale its business and prepare itself for major investment.

Name change 

Following the acquisition, Blueleaf will become OSF Commerce UK, giving the Canadian company an established delivery centre in the UK to help grow its client base in the market. 

Blueleaf’s existing retail clients will now have access to OSF Commerce’s global network of 32 locations, the company said, as well as its extensive suite of multi-cloud, B2B and B2C commerce solutions.

Blueleaf’s acquisition follows a $23m equity investment OSF Commerce announced earlier in May led by Delta-v Capital with participation from Salesforce Ventures, Salesforce’s corporate investment arm. 

The increased capital will help OSF to attract additional talent, invest in AI-based technologies and finance complementary acquisitions around the world.
