London Business School has decided to break into the venture capital (VC) scene by launching an exclusive executive education programme.

The educational institution has partnered up with QVentures to create the four-day intensive course, for those who already have three years experience in the ecosystem.

Titled: 'Best Practices for Professional Investors in Venture Capital', the course is exclusively for QVentures members - a private network for investors.

It is designed as a development programme for Venture Capital Professionals, Family Offices and investors aims to fill the gaps in training through hands-on learning experiences and practical case studies in a challenging interactive environment.

It will delve into topics such as origination, due diligence, deal structuring, portfolio management and term sheet negotiation.

Julian Birkinshaw, Deputy Dean of Executive Education at LBS says: “We are proud of the collaboration with QVentures to bring more education to the Venture Capital industry. The programme builds on some of the best thinking in this field, invites industry experts and speakers to share insights and challenges, and will help participants create lasting business impact back in the workplace.”

Robert Walsh, Managing Partner of QVentures says: “In partnership with London Business School, one of the leading executive education institutions in the world, we have combined our extensive experience in funding rounds for Pre-Series A / Series A companies and have co-designed a four-day executive training programme on Venture Capital.”
