Luxury auto brand Bentley to launch special editions at Geneva Motor Show
Luxury UK car maker, Bentley, said it will show off a number of new marques at the Geneva Motor Show, which revs up next week.
The special editions are being rolled out as part of the company’s centenary celebrations.
“As Bentley enters its 100th year, the Mulliner division is marking the occasion in a way of which W.O. Bentley would most surely have approved: by creating an extremely rare and exquisitely crafted car”, the company wrote on its website.
“The Mulsanne W.O. Edition by Mulliner pays tribute to Bentley’s founder, and even contains part of his very own car. With a production run limited to just 100 cars, it provides an opportunity to own a priceless piece of Bentley’s story.”
Bentley, which is now owned by German automaker Volkswagen, said engineers cut the crankshaft of the original car into 100 sections for display in each of the new Mulsanne W.O. Each piece will be mounted between the two rear seats for all to see inside the car.
The luxury British brand will also be presenting the new Bentayga Speed publicly for the first time. The Speed, Bentley's new top Bentayga SUV model, features an uprated version of the familiar 6.0-litre W12 engine. Delivering 635 hp, the luxurious crossover has a top speed of 306 km/h and zips from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 s.
Bentley's brand new Continental GT Convertible will also make its show debut.
