Next 15 buys data marketer Planning-inc for £6.3m

London-based communications group Next 15 has bought data marketing agency Planning-inc for £6.3m.

Planning-inc will operate as an independent brand within Next 15, and the current senior management team will remain the same following the change in ownership.

The initial value of the deal has the potential to rise to £15m by 2023, dependant on the success of Planning-inc during that time.

Tim Dyson, CEO of Next 15 complimented its latest acquisition: “Planning-inc's focus on using data science and analytics to inform and design great marketing programmes fits beautifully with our strategy.”

Planning-inc counts Argos, M&S and Sony amongst its clientele, and MD James Melhuish said they are "tremendously excited" to combine expertise with Next 15 and potentially collaborate with other agencies within the group: “By joining the Next 15 group we can tap into their proven expertise at helping data and technology focussed businesses scale,” he added.

This acquisition forms part of Next 15's growth strategy, which also includes the purchase of Technical Associates Group back in July 2018. Next 15 has also applied to list on the London Stock Exchange Aim market for smaller growing companies.
