Digital banking app Monzo, which now boasts 1.5 million current accounts, has partnered with fintech startup Flux to bring itemised receipts and loyalty points to its customers.

The move will see Monzo customers who have opted in receiving digital receipts, rewards and loyalty from Flux partner merchants straight to their Monzo app in real-time.

TechCrunch reports that the new partnership will be officially launched at an event in London on Wednesday.

Currently the list of partner merchants includes EAT, Costa Coffee (announced but not yet live), Itsu, Pod, and Pure, with other big name brands to be announced later down the line.

To get loyalty stamps users just need to check their welcome e-mail from Flux to see what stores are running loyalty with them, and what items they can buy to gain stamps.

When the customer shops at any of those stores they will get automated e-stamps sent straight to their phone - amd Flux will let the customer know when their stamp card is full.

Monzo has been testing out startup Flux’s tech in a closed beta since 2017.
