London public relations outfit Frank has been hired by Outernet Global to handle consumer PR around its global series of music and events venues.

Outernet Global are set to open a series of immersive ‘amphitheatres’ in some of world’s most vibrant cities. Frank announced last week that the debut venue will be Outernet London, which is set to open in mid-2020.

Frank said it was brought on board to handle this announcement and will now take up an ongoing remit to develop the Outernet narrative and outline the unique opportunities the space will offer consumers, brands and the media.

Outernet London will be located at the site of the current development opposite Tottenham Court Road Underground station.

2,000 capacity venue for London

The venue will boast a 2,000 capacity live music events venue, a series of 8k enabled floor-to-ceiling screens designed for brand experience events as well as The Now Building – a live broadcast facility that will allow brands, artists and storytellers to showcase their work to a global audience.

Frank said that the team behind Outernet London are keen for the venue to reenergise the musical heritage of nearby Soho and provide a new destination for the music made famous by the bars in Denmark Street & Tin Pan Alley.

The Outernet’s global leadership team include some of the globe’s most influential media and entertainment executives, lead by CEO Philip Bourchier O’Ferrall, who was formerly Viacom’s International Brand Engagement and Branded Content with a remit that included putting on the MTV Europe Music Awards.
