Software provider Access Group acquires Volcanic

The Access Group, the UK’s leading providers of software to growing mid-market businesses, today announced the acquisition of recruitment and staffing website software supplier Volcanic.

Since inception, Volcanic has quickly grown to become one of the leading SaaS technology businesses in the recruitment sector. The business supports over 600 customers across three continents including market leading brands.

Access already works with over 40% of the UK’s top 500 agencies and 75% of the top 20 agencies. Volcanic, which naturally extends Access’ product offering, reinforces its position as the UK’s leading recruitment software provider offering everything from candidate attraction to cash collection.

Volcanic, which works with the likes of NES Global, Sthree Group, Morson and Oliver James, was founded in 2010 by Rob Wilde and Neil Pickstone and now has annual recurring revenues of £5m.

Overall, it has over 600 customers across three continents, making it one of the leading SaaS businesses in the recruitment sector.

Volcanic extends the product offering at Access, which already works with over 40% of the UK’s top 500 agencies and 75% of the top 20 agencies. Last year Access - one of the leading providers of software to growing mid-market businesses - grew turnover 42% to £143.1m, with EBITDA up 70% to £47.6m.
