London-based cyber security and data analytics firm, CybSafe, has appointed Mark Edge as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Mark will head up the company’s growth function, focusing on all of the customer-facing functions, including sales, marketing, and customer success, the firm said.

Following a period of extensive growth and an investment round of £3.5 million that is being used to further develop the platform, Mark will be responsible for accelerating revenue generation.

Mark brings a proven track record as a leader in the IT software industry with a focus on security, operating in both high growth and blue-chip companies in the EMEA region and USA.

Previous tenures include sales and executive leadership roles at IBM, Citrix, A10 Networks, WatchDox and Brainloop.

Alongside the senior leadership team at CybSafe, Mark’s efforts will be primarily concentrated around growing the team and developing channel partnerships to build the business in UK & Ireland, while leveraging partnerships to drive business globally.

Building connections

This, the firm said, will include recruiting new partners and delivering further value for existing partners such as Cloud Distribution, QA, SCOPE, Caretower, and Intuition.

“Attracting someone of Mark’s calibre into the business is a great endorsement of CybSafe’s product”, said Oz Alashe, CEO, CybSafe.

“He brings with him incredibly strong knowledge and experience in the channel which will be vital as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop partners in this area.”

“Considering the rising threat of cybercrime and the challenges of data and security compliance, the human element of cyber security is now a priority for businesses worldwide. CybSafe is well-positioned to capitalize on the current market demand for a measurable, science-based training and awareness solution.”

Commenting on his new role Edge said: “Businesses have spent so much time on cyber security technology, but in doing so, they’ve taken their eye off the human cyber risk. CybSafe is there to meet that need - helping businesses make better decisions about human cyber risk and resilience and taking the guesswork out of information security awareness.”
