Computacenter appoints Peter Ryan as chairman

UK IT services and software firm Computacenter said it has appointed Peter Ryan as its Non-Executive Chairman.

Ryan will, subject to shareholder approval, become Chairman at the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting on 16 May 2019, when Greg Lock will retire from the company after serving as Chairman since July 2008.

Ryan joined the board in February 2018 as an independent Non-Executive Director and has been appointed as Chairman following a thorough selection process , the company said in a stock market filing 

The incoming chairman has had a successful 37-year international career in technology encompassing all dimensions of the industry including software, services, systems integration, outsourcing and infrastructure, Comutacenter said. 

Over the last 11 years, he has held roles such as Chief Sales Officer with Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Chief Client Officer at Logica plc and Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Services with Sun Microsystems Inc.
