London-based global PR firm, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, has appointed Simon Shaw as Global Chief Creative Strategy and Innovation Officer.

The company said that Shaw joined H+K in 2014 as Chief Creative Officer at H+K’s Centre of Creative Strategy in London.

For the last five years, he has been a major accelerant in the transformation of the London office, strengthened its creative output for clients such as Huawei, Coca Cola and Envision, and, more broadly, redefined the client proposition.

“Simon is a brilliant creative strategist. He is obsessed with the delivery of truly excellent, award winning client work”, said Richard Millar, H+K Global President.

“Having known him for over a decade, and worked with him for five years, I believe that the impact he will bring on a global stage will be transformative for our business and for our clients.”

Commenting on the move, Shaw said creativity was essential to meeting clients’ needs.

“In today’s ever-changing world we need to constantly change the way we engage our clients’ public. Our creativity and innovative thinking is essential to achieve this. I look forward to working with my H+K colleagues around the world to develop transformative campaigns that deliver maximum impact for our clients.”

The news follows other recent H+K appointments to key roles since the announcement of a new global structure, including the appointments of Global Co-Presidents Richard Millar and Lars Erik Grønntun, reporting to CEO and Chairman Jack Martin; Sam Lythgoe to drive global marketing and business development, Kate Augustine to lead global HR and Talent, and Vikki Willimott to run content and publishing.
