L'Oreal promotes UK's digital officer to chief marketing officer of Nordics

L'Oreal has announced it has promoted UK chief digital officer Nick Buckley to chief marketing officer of Nordics.

Buckley –​ who was L'Oreal UK's first digital chief – moved into the Nordic role this month, where it is expected that he will put "digital transformation at the core".

He will be based at L'Oreal's Copenhagen office, where he will be tasked with accelerating partnerships with key e-commerce firms, driving SEO and developing a content strategy.

Replacing Buckley as UK chief digital officer is Sam Crossman who has previously delivered digital transformation across brands PPD and Garnier.

In 2018, the cosmetic brand's marketing team saw some internal shuffles. It appointed Anca Stefan as chief digital officer of Russia and Kazakhstan in October 2018 and saw European marketing chief Hugh Pile going on sabbatical July 2018.
