McCann Health names new global CCO
McCann Health, a global healthcare marketing agency, has appointed a new chief creative officer.
Matt Eastwood will take over the role from Jeremy Perrott, who left the firm last year due to a “a complaint about a violation” of the company’s code of conduct, which reportedly included “offensive and inappropriate language.”
Eastwood joins the team with a resume filled with creative leadership in agencies across Australia, the U.K. and U.S. He most recently headed up the creative office at marketing communications brand, J. Walter Thompson, where he won a record-breaking 80 Lions; more than the firm had won in its 150-years since conception.
John Cahill, global CEO of McCann Health, commented on the appointment:
“Our health, wellness, and pharma clients across the board are increasingly looking at a changing landscape in which Matt’s broad background and sterling creative reputation will be of great relevance and value,”
Rob Reilly, global creative chairman of McCann Worldgroup, added that: “Matt is an immense talent, but an even better human. He is exactly the kind of global creative leader we need at this moment to continue McCann Health’s growth and commitment to do meaningful work for our brand partners.”
McCann Health's London branch is comprised of three core competencies: Rx/Pharma, specialising in physician, healthcare professional, patient and corporate communications; consumer health, specialising in broad consumer health and OTC brands and services.
