Amid coronavirus chaos, Billion Dollar Boy has launched BDB TV, an "influencer-powered" production company designed to counter the lockdown-induced production problems.

The creative agency, which has offices in London and New York, responded to the troubles many producers have experienced of shoots being cancelled and projects being shelved, on the basis that there was still TV airtime to be filled and viewership increasing by 44% overall.

BDB TV is designed to harness the agency’s influencer talent to deliver high-quality content created from home, lowering production costs and still aligning with Government guidance on social distancing.

The content is able to be used as the basis of entirely new work and campaigns, or edited into existing campaigns across all channels.

Edward East, Founder and CEO of Billion Dollar Boy (above), said: “After discussions with colleagues in the industry it is clear that many traditional creative agencies and clients are struggling to create new, relevant and appropriate content during the lockdown.

"Influencer content is high quality, cost-effective, quick to produce and relevant now. BDB TV works with our network of influencers to supply TV ads to our brand clients so they can effectively fill their airtime.”
