London's QVentures - a private members club for investors - has announced that it will lead the funding round in Edinburgh-based Ocyan, a cloud operating system for enterprise blockchains and P2P networks.

Ocyan is an end-to-end cloud operating system that deploys the required infrastructure, automation, monitoring, security and integration components for enterprises to utilise blockchain applications. It enables the integration of current business infrastructure with blockchain solutions.

Alongside QVentures, support has come from Wayra UK, the innovation arm of Telefónica, which owns O2 UK.

QVentures Partner, Brian Hatton, said: “I am very excited to be supporting and joining the board of such a fast-moving FinTech business led by two amazing entrepreneurs.”

Ocyan CEO and Co-Founder, Evangelos Pappas, said: “Our investment partnership with QVentures has a very strategic meaning for Ocyan, as it is helping us to major our vision and making Ocyan the number one platform for enterprise blockchains.”
