Chewits reveal new look for packaging and famous mascot

Popular confectionery brand Chewits has relaunched across packaging, online and social - revamping its 44-year-old mascot, Chewie.

Owner Cloetta has launched the modern rebrand, which includes a cartoonish update for the dinosaur character. The Chewits website reads: "Look who's back... Chewie's bigger, bolder, and cheekier than ever".

A range of giveaways will take place on various social media platforms over the course of the week, with the rebranded product available in stores.

Cloetta UK Brand Manager, Sarah McDermott, said: “We are excited to be relaunching Chewits with a new look and upcoming products that are set to explore bold new flavour combinations and formats.”

Last month, Cloetta picked integrated brand communications agency, AgencyUK, to deliver Chewits' marketing and communications strategy.
