Prolific London: The story so far...

Prolific London launched at the start of 2019 as a platform for the capital's vibrant creative communities. We're engaging digital and marketing agencies and covering all the key updates within those sectors. Here's how it's going so far...

Nicky Wake, Managing Director of Prolific London, said: "I'm incredibly pleased with how Prolific London is going from strength to strength and has already built a loyal following.

"We're establishing ourselves as a platform and forming great relationships with companies across the capital, covering the most important stories from the sector and hosting insightful events that connect people."

Here are some important updates from the team about what we've been up to since launching Prolific London.

Bringing industry figures together

We held our first ever roundtable discussion in London at Channel 4 HQ. This time, we worked with sponsors Access and Acquia to put on an engaging event about digital innovation in the charity sector, chaired by CharityComms CEO Adeela Warley.

Sponsored by Access and Acquia, the event provided an illuminating opportunity for charities to share best practice and consider the various ways they had sought to use digital as a fundraising and awareness generating tool.

The first Prolific London Awards

We love bringing together creatives and celebrating outstanding work from the industry, so it was a milestone achievement to launch the Prolific London Awards. We were massively impressed with the entries submitted and the response really demonstrates the number of companies who already want to connect with others through Prolific London.

Growing our readership

Our editorial team has been working hard to fill the website with an abundance of news stories and it’s paying off with our readership statistics continually growing month on month.

We've had some great contributions for our features too. The Week In My Life, My Startup, What I've Learnt, and opinion pieces are a great way of sharing your own experiences with others in the industry.

Get in touch with our editorial team if you want to be featured in these. Press releases can always be sent to news@prolificlondon.co.uk.

A new Jobs platform

We’ve already got companies paying to advertise jobs on Prolific London. It's a great way to get your vacancy listing in front of the right audiences. We're in the process of implementing a new jobs content hub which will improve the functionality of our jobs board. It'll also be filled with useful content.

Over on Prolific North, there's a new home for our Training sessions. You can expect similar features to be added to Prolific London soon!

What's next for the Prolific London community...

  • We've been running the Top 10 in Tech lists each Friday. These can now be accessed directly from the home page in the navigation bar. They're an interesting look at the most valuable London startups in each sector.
  • On September 18th, we will be partnering up with Smoking Gun PR to host a roundtable discussion on Influencer Marketing. You can find out how to get involved on the event page.
  • We will be launching the London Marketing Awards later this year with the ceremony taking place in early 2020. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on the site, especially regarding entry deadline dates.
