Global strikes podcasting partnership with ITV
British media company Global has partnered with ITV to host all the broadcaster's podcasts on the Global Player, including Love Island's dedicated programme, 'The Morning After'.
As well as Love Island's, which is launched to coincide with the return of the hugely popular reality show, other podcasts from ITV will include the Six Nations Rugby Podcast, and coverage of the Rugby World Cup - which starts on September 20th.
As part of the two-year deal, Love Island: The Morning After will be promoted on the Capital Breakfast Show, which is listened to by more than 8 million, as well as on Heart and Capital XTRA. The podcast is released six days a week, hosted by 2017 winner Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free, and features exclusive guests, fans and interviews with the latest 'dumped' stars.
Adam Johnson, Global's Director of Marketing, said: “Our listeners are massive Love Island fans, so we’re looking forward to working with ITV to give them even more content from the Island. This deal is also great news for advertisers, who will now be able align their brand with ITV’s hugely popular audio content through DAX.”
DAX is Global's advertising platform, and will add advertisers' content before, during and after the ITV programming on the Global Player. Global says it is "a huge opportunity for brands to reach record numbers of people listening to podcasts every week."
