Bagchee appointed Economist Group Chief Product Officer

Deep Bagchee has today been hired as Chief Product Officer at The Economist Group, joining the media company from CNBC.

At CNBC in New York, Bagchee was most recently Senior VP of Product and Technology. He was previously Managing Digital Editor and Head of Digital for CNBC International, then VP of Product at CNBC Digital. At CNBC International, Bagchee oversaw digital teams in both London and Singapore.

Relocating to London to join The Economist Group, Bagchee will join at the end of April, responsible for product management for all digital outlets across the Group's businesses, including The Economist magazine and the Economist Intelligence Unit, the research and analysis division.

He'll be leading the product, analytics and customer experience teams providing objective insight into customer and market needs, and drive product development initiatives to support the Group’s growth strategy.
