Hertz Europe starts engine of in-house creative agency

Car rental firm Hertz has launched Hertz Engine, its very own in-house creative agency, in association with Adjust Your Set (AYS).

Content agency AYS is supporting Hertz as it pulls together its operations and content creation activities. Hertz Engine's responsibilities will span strategy, data, creative, design, content, social and publishing.

The stated goal of establishing the agency is to “align business growth objectives with creative output”, following the firm's recognition that it needed to ensure consistency across its branding, as well as boosting its output's quality, speed, and amount.

Hertz Engine will be based in Uxbridge at Hertz's European HQ.

Vincent Gillet, Hertz's VP International Marketing, said: “We want customers to have the best experience of our brand at every touchpoint. To us, that means having a highly creative team onsite that is fully immersed in our mission, vision and values, working with us side-by-side."

Temerity Vinson, Hertz Senior Director for International Marketing, told The Drum: "Although we do have brand guidelines and umbrella strategies, when you have multiple markets and multiple agencies they can all be deciphered in a different way.

“Bringing this all under one roof gives us consistency and it also gives us speed to market."
