Dentsu is set to drop the Aegis name from the Dentsu Aegis Network.

The change follows several rounds of redundancies at DAN, particularly in the APAC region.

Earlier this month DAN made a number of workers redundant at its Singapore office, with the cuts reported to affect iProspect.

The cuts are part of a restructure announced in March, which include a new management structure for DAN APAC.

Aegis was acquired by Dentsu in 2013. The DAN is the media-focused element of the Japanese giant Dentsu's operations.

But the group has been affected by client cutbacks along with the other major incumbents.
