The creative account for Tesco Mobile has been handed to BBH London without a pitch.

The account was previously held by The Community, which is a member of Publicis Group alongside BBH London. BBH already controls a portion of Tesco's advertising, a relationship which was started in 2015.

Tesco Mobile, which has around five million customers, is said to want to align its advertising more clearly with Tesco's grocery and banking.

"BBH was the obvious choice to help us take the business into its next cycle of growth with an ambitious brand communications and data-driven, customer experience focus," said Gareth Hussey, Tesco Mobile CMO. "We look forward to working with the BBH team."

BBH London was founded in 1982. The global advertising agency now has offices in London, New York, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Shanghai, Mumbai, LA, and Stockholm.

Karen Martin, MD at BBH London, said: "We are delighted to be working with Tesco Mobile. This will allow us to maximise synergy with grocery and banking, and is an exciting opportunity to expand our relationship with Tesco."
