Blackbird, a cloud-based platform or video editing, has been recognised at the IBC industry conference.

The platform, headquartered in London, provides video clipping, editing, and distribution tools geared towards the media and broadcast industries.

It was one of six products to receive a 'What Caught My Eye' award at this month's IBC event, an annual conference and trade show for media, entertainment, and technology.

Blackbird claims to be the first video editing tool designed from the ground up specifically for cloud-based use.

The company says it offers significant resource savings when compared with established, self-hosted alternatives.

Applications that leverage Blackbird's technologies are used by rightsholders, broadcasters, post-production houses, and online content channels. The company's clients include IMG, Deltatre, MSG Networks, and Gfinity.
