Ocean begins annual hunt for best out-of-home ads
Ocean Outdoor has announced the launch of its 10th annual awards for the best digital out-of-home ads.
The Ocean Digital Creative Competition aims to find the ads that best harness the "scale, creativity, and progressive technical capabilities" of DOOH.
The winners of the 2019 awards will share £650,000 worth of DOOH screen space, with this year's instalment backed by Landsec's Piccadilly Lights
Concepts can also be submitted for appearance in all major UK cities.
Entries are sought that leverage one or more aspects of Ocean's proprietary technology.
This includes vehicle and audience detection networks, livestreaming capabilities, or super-fast wifi to connect with audiences on the move.
Ocean head of marketing and events Helen Haines said: “Ocean’s creative competition challenges screen-led thinking, inspiring the advertising industry to redefine human engagement using digital out-of-home.
“For ten years, global award-winning ideas have been entered by the media and creative industries, placing digital out-of-home screens at the heart of creativity. All you need is an idea and if you win, we will make it happen.”
Entrance to the awards is free, with a closing date of 23 August. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the IMAX in London on 10 October.
