Apple's new Express Transit feature has launched in London, allowing commuters to use their iPhone to pay for travel even quicker.

Using the feature, travellers simply hold their device near the Oyster reader, and do not need to use Touch ID or Face ID to authenticate the transaction.

Apple thinks the feature will ease the pressure on ticket gates and when boarding buses, making it quicker for commuters to pay.

The feature is also available in Tokyo, Portland, New York, Beijing, and Shanghai.

According to a TfL spokesperson, Apple Pay Express Transit is now available at every contactless payment point on the network.
