LeKiosk rebrands to Cafeyn

LeKiosk, the digital magazine platform, has rebranded itself as Cafeyn.

Along with the new name, the rebrand also includes a new strapline: "Feel free to be curious."

The company says the new identity is inspired by the publishing industry, and is intended to encourage users to make themselves feel comfortable with their mobile devices.

The move follows an expansion into the UK, along with other European markets.

LeKiosk was one of the first digital magazine aggregators, now operating in the same space as the recently-launched Apple News+.

Ari Assuied, the company's CEO and co-founder, said: “In the wake of the music and video streaming platforms, Cafeyn intends to embody the third major axis of streaming, that of quality information.

"With Cafeyn, our aim is to create a strong brand to achieve our ambition to become, within the next couple of years, the European champion in information streaming.

“After several years of strong growth, this major step opens up new and promising opportunities for us."
