BritBox names tech, PR and creative agency line-up

BritBox, the BBC and ITV streaming joint venture, has confirmed its key agency and technology partners in the run up to its UK launch. 

Behavioural planning agency Total Media has been awarded the streaming service’s contract for media strategy and award-winning creative agency ITV Creative is on-board and responsible for the UK branding and launch advertising campaign following a competitive pitch. 

Award-winning consultancy Taylor Herring has won the contract as PR supplier for launch. 

In relation to product design and build, the OTT specialist Deltatre  - which also works on the existing BritBox US & CA business – provides the user experience powered by its targeted UX management platform, AXIS, and designed BritBox’s suite of multi-platform applications across web, mobile and connected TVs. 

Digital platform security firm Irdeto is responsible for content packaging and protection, Akamai is providing the content delivery network and LoginRadius is responsible for the customer identity and access management platform. 

All of the above are working closely with several services delivered by ITV’s internal technology teams. 

Customer services will be handled by Teleperformance who will be supporting BritBox via their offices in Gateshead. 

Balance Agent, a dedicated consultancy with an SVOD launch practice led by Gabe Fabius, is overseeing programme management.
