Kapten to launch Ride4Good pop-up in Shoreditch

Kapten is launching a one-day activation at Boxpark in Shoreditch on 8 November to raise awareness of its new charity initiative, Ride4Good – the first ‘rounding up’ initiative in the European ride-hailing sector.
Ride4Good enables customers to ‘round up’ their fare by 50p and donate the extra money to the EPIC Foundation, a non-for-profit organisation which fights to change the lives of disadvantaged youths worldwide.
The Ride4Good activation will feature a Kapten car which will be filled up with coins donated by the ride-hailing firm, alongside a billboard promoting the initiative.
Visitors will be encouraged to donate towards the cause through charity buckets managed by Kapten staff and opt into the new in-app donation feature.
Kapten is a French ride hailling app service set up as an alternative to Uber. The company expanded this year into London.
The pop-up will open from 8.30am on 8 November.
