Old Speckled Hen and isobel bring back Henry The Fox

Ale brand Old Speckled Hen has returned to its advertising roots with the reinvention of their mascot Henry The Fox.

Independent agency isobel has given the character a modern twist, turning him into a suit-wearing comedian making observations about the world around him.

The campaign is the first work to come from isobel's newly launched comedy department, led by comedian and broadcaster Mike Shephard.

Illustration comes from Gary Andrews, who also created the original Henry character, launched in 1994.

Rob Fletcher, Creative Partner at isobel, said: “Old Speckled Hen is no ordinary pint.  It appeals to curious drinkers and our campaign has a curious nature about it, driven by the world of stand-up comedy.  Stand-up comedians have a unique take on the world we live in, and this is what we based Henry’s character on, which stays true to the Old Speckled Hen beer and brand”.
