Google launch new campaign for marketers

Google have launched a new campaign intended to persuade marketers of the value of search advertising.

The campaign, titled 'Find What Matters', features mock cameraphone footage of consumers going about their daily lives and the search terms that relate to them.

For example, one clip features a woman packing for holiday, along with the search query 'weather in Dubrovnik', while another sees a man spot a shining bike accompanied by the Google Shopping results for the product.

It culminates with the line: "Search is where your customers find what matters to them - so it's where you can find what matters to your business."

The campaign was created by 72andSunny Amsterdam.

Commenting on the launch, Google UK and Ireland search lead Gemma Howley saied: “Search is the first digital utility – an incredible tool that allows people to cut through a noisy and cluttered world and find what they are looking for, wherever they are.

“We know that even fleeting exposure to an alternative brand can disrupt purchase decisions. This makes Search an incredibly powerful tool and we want to celebrate it in ‘Find What Matters’. In an uncertain world full of questions, it’s important to remember the value of providing an answer.”
