Beauty brand Avon is launching a £20,000 prize for agencies to find "tech solutions in low tech environments".

As Marketing Week reports, the company is asking agencies to find ways to leverage tech solutions in less-developed countries in which it operates.

The focus for the challenge will be on the Avon ON app, for which the company is asking agencies to produce content.

Avon is looking for more personalisation in countries that are typically under-served when it comes to tech solutions.

After an initial application process, five agencies will be invited to pitch live in London on 13 November.

James Thompson, chief beauty officer at Avon and one of the pitch judges, said: “Avon is undertaking a major marketing transformation right now that will build on our heritage and lead to us firmly establishing the brand as a digitally-enabled global beauty player.”
