Paddy Power launch print magazine Pitch Invader

Bookmakers Paddy Power have moved into the world of publishing with the launch of a new print magazine.

Pitch Invader will be distributed free across the country, bearing different cover stars depending on location.

The bookmaker told trade publication The Drum that the magazine was inspired by existing titles such as upstart football title Mundial and the relaunched FourFourTwo.

Just one edition of the magazine is currently planned, but Paddy Power say they will print around 1.2 million copies.

It will be distributed through local newspapers, along with 600,000 copies stocked in Paddy Power stores.

They hope Pitch Invader will give fans a push to return to betting at the end of the summer football break.
