Nationwide launches humorous savings campaign

Nationwide has launched a new campaign intended to encourage people to save.

The 'Payday Saveday' adverts features a host of breakthrough standup comedy stars, each performing a short set of jokes on the subject of saving.

As Marketing Week reports, the campaign was devised in response to research suggesting that 11 million Brits have less than £100 saved.

The campaign will run on TV, radio, digital, and outdoor. For the outdoor element, Nationwide are reportedly considering placing ads close to competitor bank branches.

Nationwide are not the only bank to have launched a new campaign this week.
