Heathrow Terminal 5 transformed into beach for Florida push

BA's first class lounge at Heathrow's Terminal 5 has been transformed into a beach in an activation to support Florida's Visit St Pete/Clearwater.

The lounge features a beach and lounge terrace, with music from Roland, shopping from Harvey Nichols, and drinks from Halewood and Peter Spanton.

Media Agency Group, which organised the activation, say it's the first time a travel and tourism client has secured an airport lounge sponsorship. It is open to BA first class travelers and lounge guests.

Steve Crawley, Director at Media Agency Group said: “It is great to break the mould and organise the first lounge sponsorship/takeover in conjunction with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater. 

We have extensive experience of running experiential travel and tourism marketing campaigns and it is always nice to challenge the norm and explore new consumer facing activities.”

The activation has been created in support of Visit St Pete/Clearwater, a tourism organisation for an area of Florida's Gulf Coast.

According to Media Agency Group, BA's lounges welcome an average of 600,000 premium passengers across their 49 global lounges every month.
