Dazed nabs Lil Nas X to launch TikTok partnership

Dazed Media has launched a partnership with TikTok to celebrate the launch of Dazed's account on the platform.

The #LASSOCHALLENGE is a week-long hashtag competition that draws on the theme of Dazed's latest cover, featuring record-breaking musician Lil Nas X.

The artist, who yesterday broke the record for the longest-running number one single in Billboard chart history, has seen much of his success driven by early adoption on TikTok.

Ahmad Swaid, Head of Content at Dazed Media said “We always try to find interesting ways to activate each of our print issues, and this is a celebration of the great work the team have done with Lil Nas X, and the 'Dazed Goes West' theme of the issue. 

It was a no brainer on our part to team up with TikTok to help push the story of our new issue further and to a new audience, but also about bringing it back to the platform that gave the rise of Old Town Road. We are super excited by this and also for how a new audience can discover Dazed”.
