BT will become the lead sponsor for all England teams following the signing of a new five-year deal.

The telecoms company's sub-brand EE will also remain the lead sponsor of Wembley Stadium.

The first fruits of the sponsorship will come with the launch of a new BT-branded training kit for the England women's team, which will be worn in the run-up to the Women's World Cup.

The men's team will also wear the kit ahead of the Nations League Finals.

The FA has been looking for a new lead sponsor since its deal with Vauxhall ended in 2018. Vauxhall had been in the role for seven years.

It is thought that the new deal is worth around £50 million.

Commenting on the sponsorship, BT's consumer division CEO Marc Allera said: “We’re committed to making BT a national champion, and what better way than backing the national game and the national teams. This partnership will reach all areas of football, including grassroots football and communities up and down the country. We look forward to revealing our plans in the coming months and we can’t wait to get started.”
