OPEN Media launches first screen in London

Out of home advertising media owner, OPEN Media has expanded into London with its first digital screen in the capital. 

The 100 sqm full motion digital screen uses bespoke LED technology from one of Europe's leading visual communication experts, Concept Group, and is situated on the North East facades of the newly opened Boxpark on Wembley way.

The screen will go live this month and will play host to several iconic brands wishing to target the travelling crowd that attend the many events hosted in the Wembley area, at both the stadium and SSE Arena.

OPEN Media, an independent company based in Liverpool, said the move marked a huge step in its journey with this move into London.

Growth ambitions

This is the beginning of another major point of growth for the company, with a rollout of digital screens planned nationwide over the remainder of 2019 to support their 3-pronged strategy – stadia, retail and city centre locations. 

Operating within a small team, OPEN Media will also be creating four jobs before the end of the year to support the rapid expansion of their out of home portfolio.

Boxpark Wembley is the third instalment in the chain of Boxpark leisure destinations, following suit from Shoreditch and Croydon.

OPEN Media and Boxpark will work together to communicate to mass audiences spanning a wide range of demographics, already recognised by global brands.

“Boxpark Wembley will feature our first large format outdoor digital screens allowing us to feature all the events at Boxpark alongside select advertising and sponsorship partners.”

The premium site is unique to the area and will impact the 90,000+ fans who travel to the iconic Wembley Stadium for the year-round international sporting and music events. 

The site empowers brands to further capitalise on the match day experience through the medium of digital out of home, the firm said.
