Kenny Jacobs, Ryanair's Chief Marketing Officer, has announced his resignation from the airline, after having spent six years with the carrier.

It comes only seven months after Ryanair's Chief Operating Officer, Peter Bellew, left with the intention of moving to EasyJet. At the time, Ryanair took Bellew to court over the intended move.

Jacobs told industry platform Simple Flying: “I have decided to leave Ryanair after more than si enjoyable years in a great business. I am proud to have led the team that delivered huge improvements in digital and customer service under ‘Always Getting Better’ as the airline doubled in size.

"I will enjoy a summer off with family and then look for my next challenge. I will continue to be a customer and a big supporter of Ryanair.”
