Mondelēz has scrapped the role of European CMO, only two years after its decision to create roles for with four regional CMOs and a global CMO.

Instead, Peter Seymour is now leading European marketing as Vice President, Marketing and Strategy, and will lead on both marketing and corporate strategy.

Seymour has been working with Mondelēz for 20 years, and was previously director of marketing for the European Chocolate business. The former European CMO was Deobora Koyama, who joined in the role from AB InBev two years ago. She was the last of the four regional CMOs appointed at the time as part of the marketing restructure.

Mie-Leng Wong, Maria Mujica, Jason Levine were the other three, and have moved onto new roles within Mondelēz and outside it. The Global CMO remains as Martin Renaud.
