Channel 4's Head of Data Science moves to ITV

ITV has appointed Sanjeevan Bala, formerly Channel 4’s Head of Data Science, as its new Group Chief Data and AI Officer.

Bala will report to Chief Marketing Officer Rufus Radcliffe and lead the transformation of ITV’s group-wide data and AI strategy. 

He will be responsible for evolving and consolidating the organisation’s data assets, raising the overall data capability and accelerating the adoption of AI to fuel growth.

At Channel 4, Sanjeevan's team launched a number of global-first commercial innovations resulting in incremental advertising and viewing value.

Sanjeevan's new team will push experimentation at ITV through data science and analytics, which will empower ITV’s broadcast, studios, marketing and strategy functions, commercial teams, direct to consumer business, the management board, and advertising partners.
