Marlin Green, a niche tech talent company, has appointed Paul Hanley as its new CEO.

Hanley joins from Hays, where he worked as a regional director heading up the company's Swiss IT business. Before that he established and grew foreign offices for a number of international brands.

Marlin Green provides contract recruitment services within IT in Europe.

The company opened its first European office last year, and plans to open more across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Sweden within the next four years.

Commenting on his appointment, Hanley said: “Taking the reins at Marlin Green is an opportunity I simply couldn’t refuse.

“The ambition of the business, the quality of the brand and the extremely fast pace at which it runs provides all the ingredients needed to build substantial, sustainable growth and significantly increase our market share, which is exactly what I’m most passionate about.”

Toby Dixon, Non-Executive Chairman at Marlin Green, added: “We are driving towards a multi-region, multi-office expansion and we wanted someone with the experience, expertise and energy to pilot it forward at full pace. Paul Hanley is that man.

“Along with our superb Leadership Team, Paul was chosen because he has the skills to exponentially grow the business with further on-site presence throughout Europe, whilst maintaining its boutique culture and absolute focus on quality.”
