Paybase hires Rachel Coote as Head of Compliance
End to end payments platform Paybase has announced the appointment of Rachel Coote as Head of Compliance and MLRO.
Coote brings with her more than a decade of experience spanning senior roles in the tech, and financial services sectors.
She has held a variety of senior positions including leading the Banking Services Compliance team at Starling Bank.
"This is a key appointment, and we are excited to have Rachel join the team at this critical juncture in the company's history," said Anna Tsyupko, CEO, Paybase.
"Our business is laser-focused on continuing its successful growth across sectors, and Rachel's skills and expertise will drive forward our exciting European expansion and business development plans for the future."
Today, the global platform, FinTech and cryptocurrency industries are booming, the firm noted.
Collectively, they are forecast to amass total transaction volumes of over £1 trillion in 2020, but they all face the common hurdle of accessing seamless and compliant cross-border payments.
To address this, Paybase said it has created an innovative product laser-focused on delivering an end-to-end payments solution that is built on flexibility and compliance. Paybase is at the forefront of the B2B FinTech revolution.
In 2017, Paybase received a £700,000 grant from innovation agency Innovate UK on top of significant private investment.
The grant has been leveraged to support the London-based startup’s international expansion and continued product development.
Commenting on her appointment, Coote said: "I am proud to be part of a forward-thinking and innovative organisation that is working to fundamentally upend the infrastructural lethargy within the traditional payments industry.
“The company has an exceptional team, coupled with market-leading technology. Paybase's passion and core values align with my thinking and interests."
