Troubled WPP agency Grey London said it has "parted ways" with Creative Chairman, Adrian Rossi, less than a year after he joined the firm with great fanfare.

The company said that Javier Campopiano, Chief Creative Officer for Grey Europe, will act as an interim creative leader during the search for a new CCO for Grey London.

A very brief statement issued by a spokesperson for the company gave no detail on the reasons for the sudden departure.

Grey hired Rossi from AMV BBDO London in December last year to head up the newly created creative chairman role

Rossi started off his career in 1994, as an art director at Saatchi&Saatchi. He eventually became a creative director at BBH before joining digital agency Glue Isobar in 2010. He then spent seven years at AMV BBDO.

The company counts HSBC, M&S, Emirates Airline, Gillette, Braun and the 007 franchise among its list of global clients.
