SYZYGY names Director of Data & Experience Technology
International digital agency SYZYGY has swelled the ranks of its senior leadership team with the appointment of Anthony Magee as Director of Data & Experience Technology.
A self-confessed data obsessive, Magee will report into SYZYGY’s UK CEO Ita Murphy and lead the digital specialists’ data-led approach to client planning and service.
His experience technology remit reinforces SYZYGY’s ambition to ensure that intelligent use of data insights, coupled with technology, becomes its standard when creating unmatched positive customer experiences.
He will join the Management team to develop the agency’s overarching Digital Architects proposition, which is grounded in its ‘superpower’; using data to create inspiring customer centred experiences, the firm said.
This architecting emphasis ensures that all SYZYGY projects are delivered with a client-led focus of combining the smartest technology with behavioural science.
The appointment also sees Magee charged with capturing the hearts and minds of the change-maker brands that want to partner with SYZYGY to create transformative and timeless Digital Experiences.
Magee has worked in the digital industry for a decade, most recently as Managing Partner for US based digital agency Digital IQ.
Prior to this, he successfully worked with some of the world’s largest organisations and brands including Mazda, Virgin Experience Days, XERO, LEGO, BT PLC, Argos and Sainsbury’s.
This experience spanned building next-generation data capabilities, leading teams delivering real-time insights, omnichannel customer research and customer value management.
Notable projects on Magee’s track record of delivering the 'next big thing’ including projects for Sainsbury’s online and self-checkout loyalty voucher targeting, design and delivery of Argos’ omni-channel data and digital store transformation and implementing LEGO’s new data-driven experience strategy.
His professional experience also extends into Social Enterprise, where he brought technology to unlikely issues like anger management, counselling and sexual health.
