Pladis appoints Omnicom for creative and media

Pladis, owners of McVitie's, have appointed Omnicom Group to a newly consolidated creative and media role.

As The Drum reports,TBWA\London will look after creative and strategy, while Manning Gottlieb OMD will handle media planning and buying.

The agencies will work across Pladis' full range of brands, including Digestives, Hobnobs, and Jaffa Cakes.

The company expects the agencies to work together in an integrated fashion, being involved in every marketing stage down to product development.

According to Kantar, McVitie's has a larger brand footprint than Hovis or Walkers, reaching more than 80 per cent of the UK population.
