McCann Worldgroup win Aldi social media account

Live UK, the social media division of McCann Worldgroup, has been appointed by Aldi to handle all of the brand's social media activities.

The appointment follows a competitive multi-way pitch run by Ingenuity London.

Live UK will be responsible for all organic social media and content work, collaborating closely with Aldi's in-house team. The programme will include always-on activity, hero campaigns, and influencer management.

McCann Worldgroup already works extensively with Aldi, handling advertising, media planning and buying, digital, and in-store briefs.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark Lund, CEO, UK McCann Worldgroup, said: “We are delighted to have won this high profile assignment that further strengthens our partnership. Aldi are a great social brand and we are confident this will enable us to drive further growth for Aldi through even tighter integration of campaigns across every touchpoint.”
