Number 20, an event and travel management company based in London, has been bought by US experiential agency Opus.

The London company, which offers event coordination services that plug into clients' existing teams, will become Opus's first real outpost in Europe.

Opus is a strategic experiential marketing advisory agency, providing events support to brands worldwide.

It now employs over 500 people across five US offices.

Commenting on the acquisition, Monte Wood, CEO of Opus, said: "Opus has had a global reach for years, but this acquisition formalizes our presence on the European continent.

"We are thrilled to pursue further opportunities in the EMEA region while continuing the great tradition built by Number 20."

Phil Cairns, Managing Director for Number 20, added: "This acquisition is mutually beneficial for both Opus and Number 20.

"We have the opportunity to bring an extensive global network of resources to bear for our existing customers, while providing guidance and leadership in the European market for a rapidly expanding event agency."
