DNEG names Ravi Bansal as Global Head of Art

DNEG, the London-based global visual effects, animation and stereo conversion company, has hired acclaimed Art Director Ravi Bansal to join its creative leadership team.

DNEG CEO Namit Malhotra announced Ravi’s appointment as Global Head of Art, and that he will be based in DNEG’s London studio. 

A seasoned Art Director with a wealth of experience and proven creative leadership skills, Ravi’s credit list includes titles such as ‘The Lion King’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Dumbo’, ‘Alien: Covenant’, ‘The Jungle Book’ and many more. 

He joins DNEG from MPC, where he was Global Head of Art for Film, and his previous experience includes time at Image Engine, Weta Digital and Disney Interactive Studios.

Working alongside the senior leadership team, Bansal will help to develop DNEG’s global strategy for the art department.

Leading a talented international group of Concept Artists & Art Directors, Bansal will help ensure that DNEG continues to provide an industry-leading service to its clients, developing and delivering visually stunning concepts and creative ideas.

DNEG is currently in production on a slate of highly anticipated film projects, including ‘Dune’, ‘Wonder Woman 1984’, ‘Fast & Furious 9’, ‘Chaos Walking’ and ‘Last Night in Soho’ for director Edgar Wright. 

The company has previously won five Academy Awards and four BAFTAs for its film VFX work and was awarded a BAFTA TV Craft Award for its work on ‘Black Mirror’ for Netflix.
