Channel 4 poaches Havas' Lynsey Atkin for 4Creative lead

Channel 4 has announced the appointment of a new executive creative director at its in-house agency 4Creative.

Lynsey Atkin will join the broadcaster in the autumn, and moves from Havas London where she is currently creative director.

At Havas Atkin has overseen work for brands including Carling, Durex, Heathrow, and the Department for Education. Prior to that she was head of creative at Condé Nast Video.

She will replace Alice Tonge, who left her post earlier this year, and will report to Channel 4 chief marketing officer Zaid Al-Qassab.

Commenting on the appointment, Al-Qassab said: "Lynsey is an impressive creative talent with a rich portfolio of award-winning, innovative work behind her, which she has developed across a varied career. She’ll bring her boldness, energy and vision to what has to be one of the best jobs in the creative industry and we look forward to her taking the helm at 4Creative as we increasingly digitise our marketing and creative output."

The inaugural event championed creative brilliance from across the capital
